Sleepy Kid

The other day I went upstairs to put Joshua down for his nap, but I decided to make my bed before I put him in his crib. I laid him down on the ground so I could make it quickly and by the time I walked around the bed and back he had already passed out.

I've been pretty bad a blogging the last couple weeks, which is weird because we've actually been doing some blog-worthy stuff. 2 weekends ago we went with our friends Coby and Ashlynn and Coby's parents to Heise for a picnic and a hike. It was really fun and the weather was so nice! Then this last weekend we all went up to Mesa Falls. I was shocked at how huge the falls actually were. I don't know what I thought they were going to be like, but they were not at all like I imagined. They were way better! On our way to Mesa Falls we stopped at Big Judd's for some lunch (which was yummy) and Coby got the Big Judd's Special. It was the biggest burger I've ever seen in my life! It was hilarious!
Beau and I are really excited for Ashlynn and Coby to be up here (they moved up from St. George too). It's been fun to have someone else who hasn't seen what there is to see around Idaho Falls and who are willing to go explore places with us.

Dinner Parties

I have dreams of hosting elegant dinner parties including:

• a beautifully decorated table
• all of my closest friends
  
• a 3 course meal
• gourmet food (also attractively presented)
• lively conversation
• amazing desserts
• and I'd do it all wearing one of these adorable aprons

But then I remember:

• That sort of thing only happens in the movies
• My kitchen is about 5'x5'
• AND I can't cook.... (Problem)

I guess I'll just have to get one of these CUTE aprons and pretend, and possibly practice my cooking skills on Beau.

I'm Thankful For...

• The best baby in the world (seriously, he is SO well behaved).
• The most amazing, handsome, helpful, and understanding husband.
• Both are healthy.
• Wonderful family.
  
• Parents who would do anything for us.
• Fun outings with friends.
• Spontaneity (and those who go along with it). Keeps life exciting.
• Prayer.
• Beau having a good steady job.
• Warm weather, Finally!
  
• And so much more. But today, those are on the top of my list.
  

YAY!

My new bedding is coming tomorrow! I'm so excited. I have a serious case of kid on Christmas Eve...Can't even sleep.
I'm redecorating my whole house, starting with our bedroom.

I swear Joshua's getting more and more fun every day! I love it! It truly is crazy how fast he has grown up and how quickly he learns new things. Everything seems to come quickly for him except for anything involving eating. He's been a pill to feed since day one. He FINALLY has caught on to eating rice though. We had been trying for over a month and he wouldn't even open his mouth for the spoon! (it was super frustrating actually) Then on Friday night I made a miraculous discovery! If I put the rice on a graham cracker and offer it to him, he eats it right up! It's fantastic! Now he eats loads of rice and even green beans off of a graham cracker



*The other day Joshua was taking a nap when I heard funny noises through the monitor. When I went up stairs to check on him, this is what I found. He was talking right into the speaker. I guess it's time to find a new spot for the monitor.

Fancy Nancy

For Kate's 2nd Birthday Beau and I got her a Fancy Nancy dress-up outfit. I LOVE Fancy Nancy! I think she's adorable. When Kate put it on she said she was going outside to fly now. It was funny.
