Our 1st Trip To The Zoo This Year

Once upon a time, when it wasn't freezing...

We've had about 5 warm days here so far this year, so when it's warm, we're outside! A couple weekends ago we happened to have a couple warm days in a row, and we did tons of fun things! The first day we went down to the green belt and just ran around for hours. Joshua loves it there, so that's usually the first thing we do when we go out. I cannot even express how amazing it felt to go outside and feel warmth rather than bitter cold. Being stuck in the house for the last 8 months has started to wear on me, to say the least, and we're not out of the woods yet. It was in the 30's and snowed just yesterday. I pray every night (and morning, and afternoon, and over every meal) that our house will sell this summer so we don't have to endure another winter here. I actually told Beau yesterday that even if it doesn't sale, I'm still out of here! I'll go live with my parents. That's ok, right Mom? I swear I'm not being a drama queen, it's just really that bad!

ANYway, while we were down on the green belt we...

Stopped to feed the geese,

and looked at the beautiful falls.

Josh thought the falls were loud,
so he plugged his ears.

Then we stopped to look at the temple.

But mostly we just soaked up the sun!

Josh's Room

We just put our house up for sale, and as badly as I want it to sale, I get SO sad when I think about leaving Joshua's room behind. I love his room. It's where we first brought him home from the hospital to sleep, and it's grown and evolved with him over the last 18 months. We worked so hard on it to get it exactly the way we wanted, and I just got it to a point where I feel like it's finished. Josh loves to be in his room, we play in there a good 3 hours a day because it's where he's happiest. I know it seems stupid to feel sad about leaving just a room, not even the whole house, but I do. I'm going to have a hard time walking out of this room for the last time.

We have made a lot of memories in that room.

Little Monkey

Josh is such a monkey lately! I was actually in the other room drying my hair and when I stopped to check on him, this is what I found. Every time I turn around the last couple days, he's trying to get on top of something. He also climbs over the couch and stands in the window seal, climbs on top of our shoe rack (and then falls, ouch), and he can now climb into the tub. Both Beau and I have not been able to take showers by ourselves the last two days since he figured that one out. It's so funny though. He has this fake laugh (that is Hilarious!), and he does it the whole time he's in the shower. I don't know if I've ever laughed so much in my life as I have at him the last couple weeks. He is definitely a hand full, and the light of our lives.

Play'n in the Closet

Josh's new favorite place to play in the house is in our closet. He gets into lots of trouble in there. He plays hide and seek with me, gets into my jewelry and makes a mess of it, climbs up things he shouldn't, and finds Beau's cologne. That's his favorite part though, the cologne. Once he has it, he'll carry it around all day. The problem with this kid is that he knows he's cute and can get away with anything because of it. Even though I don't like the fact that he's playing with Beau's expensive cologne, I let him because he makes the cutest faces in the whole world when he's trying to smell it. And it makes me laugh.

Phew, that was a close one!

Three days ago I got online to post some cute new pics I had taken earlier that day.

When I went to blogger I found that my blog had been deleted!

I freaked out!

Seriously, FREAKED OUT!

Then I may or may not have spent the next 2 days crying about it.

Literally.

However, after Beau and I wrote google 4,336,853 emails trying to get help but never got a single response, I tried signing in again last night and it was fixed!

I have now backed up my blog 6 different ways and I'm having it made into a book as I write this.

I had no idea I was so attached to this blog.

I'm pathetic.

Oh well.

Some day my children will thank me for documenting every stupid thing they ever did in their lives,

And for crying for 2 whole days because I thought my blog was gone for good.

One Tired Kid

Some days 45 seconds is just too long to have to wait for milk to warm up.
Naps are important to this kid.
And not a minute past noon, or he gives up on me.

What a Mess!

This is typically how Joshua looks right after breakfast every morning ever since he's started feeding himself. Such a mess! Check out those hands.

On days like today, he goes right into the tub. I don't even bother wiping him down.

Another First

Joshua shot his first gun today.

Beau says he's a natural.
I say he must get it from his dad.

Mmmmm

Whenever I pull out the Bosch, Joshua comes running. He knows good things come from the Bosch. Just this week he's started to say, "Mmmmm, yummy!"


I was making cupcakes a couple days ago and he sat as close as he could get to the mixer and said, "Mmmmm, Yummy!" the entire time. Then whenever I'd turn my back, he'd stick his finger in the bowl and lick it real fast. It was hilarious!

Tonight Joshua did his first somersault all by himself!

Bubbles

Lately Joshua calls everything bubbles, but I thought it was especially cute when we were watching the snow fall tonight and he was telling us that it was bubbles. He was saying it over and over until we got the camera out, then he stopped, but we caught it once.
He's really starting to talk so much and I love it! I love his sweet little voice and the funny things he says.
