Day 4

Favorite Book:

Behind Every Good Man, written by John Bytheway. This book is AMAZING! I've read it a couple times and every time I read it I finish with a renewed determination to be a better wife. I think everyone should read it.

A Sad Day

Today was a sad day. I went to get dressed and realized it was time to pull out the maternity pants. What the heck! I'm only 4 1/2 months along! With Josh I didn't even START showing until I was 6 months along and already with this one I'm SO uncomfortable in my regular jeans I can't stand em. Yesterday I wore regular jeans and at first they felt like they were going to be ok, but an hour later when I was out running errands I thought I was going to die! The zipper was getting pushed lower and lower by the minute.
Everyone I know wears regular pants their whole pregnancy, just undone and a size or two larger. How come I can't do that? If I go larger they are falling off of me no matter what I do. If they're not done up around the waste, how do you hold them up? Even when I wear my regular jeans undone I go around the whole day paranoid that my undies are showing out the back. I need to know the tricks ladies. It's seriously depressing to have to wear maternity at 4 1/2 months.

P.S. I really am a lot larger than I look in the pic. For some reason this pregnancy I've gotten wider not just all out front like I was with Josh. That's pretty lame huh? No one wants to get wide!

Day 3

Favorite TV show:

I have two.

Gilmore Girls is my all time favorite show ever. I could watch it over and over and never get sick of it. But it's no longer on the air :( so...
Castle would have to be my current favorite. I love the show for a couple of reasons but I think it's my favorite because it's the one and only show Beau will watch with me. So every Monday night at 9, we cuddle on the couch and watch Castle. It's awesome. And a rear occurrence these days. Which makes it even more awesome.

Day 2

Favorite Movies:

Another tough one for me to nail down to just one. It really just depends on my mood. These days I don't seem to watch anything but Disney but that's ok with me. I'm a huge Disney fan, especially Pixar. The Toy Story movies are definitely up there on my favorites list. However, when I get to watch a "grown up movie" here's a list of my go-to movies.
  • Two Weeks Notice -totally funny! If you haven't watched it lately, do.
  • Pride and Prejudice- Any version. I've got them all.
  • Juno (possibly my favorite movie ever)
  • Dear John
  • Inception
  • Dumb and Dumber
  • Tommy Boy
  • Hope Floats
  • The American President
  • Elf
  • Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
  • Singing in the Rain
  • The Holiday
  • The Wedding Planner
I love so many movies, but I enjoy feel-good movies the best. I hate leaving a movie feeling depressed or sad and I refuse to watch anything even a little bit scary. I watched What Lies Beneath once when I was in high school and it horrified me. That's the one and only scary movie I've ever seen (and Beau tells me it is NOT a scary movie). I don't understand why ppl want to feel that way!? I like musicals and good ol' chick flicks.

Surprise!

I've been sitting here for about 2 hours trying to come up with a cute way to say this but can't. So...
BIG NEWS!

I'M PREGNANT!

I'm 17 weeks along (due March 9) and about 2 weeks ago we found out it's another BOY!

We told our families after our ultrasound 2 weeks ago and I kind of figured the word would spread on it's own and I wouldn't have to write this post, but NO ONE has said anything to me in 2 weeks. So I guess I need to fill everyone else in on our good news!

We're really excited and already can't wait to meet our new little man. I am completely relieved it's another boy and I know he and Joshua will be best buds.

For the most part I'm feeling pretty good. At 14 weeks, when normally women start feeling better, I started getting sicker than I had been and then started throwing up, so I started taking Unisom (which I had to take the whole 9 months I was pregnant with Josh) and I haven't thrown up since! I have days when I swear I'm not going to make it until bed time, because I'm So tired, but I make it and I usually sleep really hard for around 10 hrs on those nights :) I love being able to go to bed at 9 when I'm pregnant.

This pregnancy wasn't exactly planned, and it took me a couple months to decide how I felt about it but now that I've come to grasps with it all, I couldn't be happier. It was definitely meant to be. It's just funny how things have always happened to me when they're supposed to, not necessarily when I've wanted them to :)

Favorite song:

This one is tough for me. I have a new favorite song just about every week! One song that I always go back to though is Sara Bareilles' song Gravity. I LOVE this girls voice! She's amazingly talented and I really love all of her songs, but this one is my favorite.

Hiking

This weekend we went on a little hike up Cress Creek with the Dalton's. As is everything with them, it was way fun. It was nice to get outside to do something fun and enjoy the amazing weather we are having right now. It seems like for the last month we've done nothing but work, pack, move, unpack, and organize, oh and clean! I've never cleaned so much in my life! This hike is fairly easy, but for someone in my condition, it was perfect. Haha...I am amazed every time I do anything even half way aerobic how out of shape I am, and it's not going to get any better for a while I'm afraid.

Just taking off.
Playing in the creek.
Josh is obsessed with blowing on us right now! Every time I'm carrying him around, he sits on my hip and blows in my hair, then he laughs and laughs like it's the funniest thing ever!
Cute boys...
Cheese! He loved every second of it!
View from the top.

Quick Update

I thought I better write a quick update before things get nuts and I don't even look at the computer for another month. Our lives have gotten a little crazy the last few weeks and it's going to get worse for a while.
While we were in Southern Utah the end of August we got word that an offer had been put in on our house. Our agent emailed us the documents and we decided it was definitely an offer worth excepting. At that point we were a little unsure as to what we should plan on doing next. From the time we put our house up for sale, we had been planning on moving to Provo and finishing school up at the Y, but now that we really had to make a for-sure decision we had to consider everything. After calling BYU then UVU and finally SUU, we were actually leaning towards SUU. We were running into issues with BYU (which has always been our #1 choice) but SUU would give Beau instate tuition and housing there was SO much cheaper than the Provo/Orem area. So we left Southern Utah basically telling everyone we'd be moving down to Cedar in a couple weeks.
The Sunday after we got back home we fasted and prayed to see if Cedar was where we were supposed to be. After church we were sitting down to dinner and I asked Beau if he had had any thoughts or feelings on the matter, and he just looked at me and said, I think we need to look into BYUI. WHAT! As far as I was concerned staying in Idaho was NOT an option. That's all that was said about it at dinner, but I was pretty irritated the rest of the day. Then over the next two days we bounced back and forth between Cedar and Provo some more, but nothing ever seemed to work out or feel right. Finally out of frustration I said, are we just supposed to stay here!? Why are we even moving!? And as soon as I said it out loud, both Beau and I knew it was what we were supposed to do. As much as I wanted to get out of Idaho, I have felt completely calm, if not even a little glad about it since we made the decision.
Beau will start school full time in January at BYUI and will be able to graduate in just a year and a half with his BS along with a minor in Russian. It's going to be a really challenging year and a half for both of us, we'll make it though, we always do. I don't know if I'm ready to be a single parent yet, but luckily I have 3 months to prepare myself.
We are still moving out of our little house. It's set to close on the 24 but will probably happen the end of next week. We found an amazing house on the south end of town and cannot wait to move into it. We got the keys today, and I totally want to move our beds over tonight! But that doesn't really make sense, so I think we're shooting for next Friday. Beau still has to finish putting in the fence around the yard here (it was part of the offer), which wont be done until next Thursday, and I haven't even thought about packing yet! I need to go over and clean the new house as well. It's new construction so I'll have to wipe down walls and everything. It could take a few days. Then we'll move our stuff over and I'll spend a few days cleaning this house before I can focus on getting settled in over there. I'm tired just thinking about it.
We're SO excited for the move! The new house is a lot bigger than our house now, which we need so badly. We are bursting at the seams in this place and half of our belongings are in storage in southern Utah. It's also in a really nice neighborhood (with a park!) that is closer to all the things we do the most. Right now we're about 15-20 minutes away from the Zoo, and in the new house we will be about 45 seconds away from the zoo. It's literally on the same street, about 4 blocks down. The zoo is also in the same park that we always go to to play, so it will be really nice to be closer to that. And we have friends that live one subdivision over, I'm way excited to live close to them!
We're going to miss living just 1 house away from the Dalton's, they are our family up here and we love them. But they're house is for sale right now, so hopefully soon they'll be leaving as well, and I know we'll still spend lots of time together. They'll never get rid of us!
Anyway....that's the update so far. Hopefully nothing major changes and everything goes smoothly. If there is anything that Beau and I have learned in our marriage, it's that the Lord takes care of you when you are doing His will. Even when we are asked to make sacrifices and put aside our desires, he will bless us for it and those blessings make it worth it. We have ALWAYS been taken care of and have an extremely good life. We are so blessed.

So, here's to a few more years in Idaho! (Don't be afraid to come visit)

State Fair

Today we went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair with our friends the Mitchell's. We looked at TONS of animals, played on some tractors, and of course ate some awesome fair food (the reason I went). Animals and tractors are Joshua's two favorite things in the world, so he was in heaven.

Painting!

For a little entertainment today, we pulled out the paint. Josh loves it and I think it's hilarious to watch him. It always starts pretty innocent and ends up in a big mess!
This is what he does when I ask him to give me a smile. So cute!
Telling me all about what he's painting.

These paints are awesome! And totally easy to clean up.

Putting in a Fence

We're putting a fence in our backyard, but right now all that's done are the holes for the posts. Josh has absolutely loved working with his dad on digging those holes! He's tons of help too. He has a shovel that he'll help dig with, but most of the time he just plays in the holes.
